Borehole Waterproofing Agent
MAK PLUG
MAK PLUG is a sealing agent designed to control circulation loss of slurry or drilling fluid during operations such as Conc-Slurry and pressurized slurry shield tunneling, geothermal drilling, and hot spring development. In ground conditions such as sand, gravel, weathered soil, or fractured zones, groundwater veins may cause drilling fluid or slurry to escape, preventing proper excavation pressure formation and resulting in unstable excavation faces or poor discharge of excavated material. MAK PLUG is a non-toxic acrylic absorbent polymer in granular form that can absorb and swell up to 50 times its weight in water, effectively sealing leakage zones and preventing fluid loss. It also helps reduce drill vibration during vertical drilling operations where circulation loss is a concern.
