SUPER MUD
SUPER MUD is an advanced soil conditioning agent engineered for EPB Shield TBM operations, designed to improve the workability and stability of excavated soil under a wide range of ground conditions. By adjusting the applied concentration, SUPER MUD can provide either viscosity reduction or controlled thickening, allowing effective management of soil rheology during excavation. Its film-forming action enhances water retention, helping maintain stable conditioning performance within the excavation chamber. This contributes to preventing soil blow-out at the tunnel face and adhesion of excavated soil to the cutterhead and chamber, while maintaining optimal plasticity and flowability of the conditioned soil. As a result, the excavated material can be discharged smoothly through the screw conveyor, supporting stable and efficient TBM operation.
