Foaming agent for Soil Conditioning in Rock Bed
ROCK FOAM
ROCK FOAM is a specialized foaming agent developed for rocky ground conditions in EPB shield tunneling. It contains extreme pressure(EP) additives designed to reduce wear on the cutterhead during excavation in abrasive formations. The foam generated through the foaming system reduces adhesion and clogging of excavated materials, improving muck flow and discharge. At the same time, it provides additional lubrication within the excavation chamber, helping to minimize abrasion and mechanical wear on TBM components. As a result, ROCK FOAM contributes to more stable operation and extended service life of cutting tools and TBM equipment in challenging rock formations.
High-Friction Rock Excavation Conditions
During excavation in abrasive rock formations, such as in Open TBM operations, severe cutterhead wear can significantly increase operational costs. Dust generated during excavation can also damage equipment and pose serious health and safety risks to workers.

Product Features
-
1
Reduced Cutter Wear & Extended Equipment Life
Special Extreme Pressure (EP) anti-wear additives effectively reduce cutterhead wear during excavation. This lowers cutter replacement costs and downtime while extending the service life of TBM equipment.
-
2
Dust Suppression & Improved Working Environment
Rich and stable foam helps suppress dust generation during rock excavation. This improves worker safety and contributes to a cleaner working environment.
-
3
High Expansion & Stable Foam Structure
Forms dense and stable foam with a high expansion ratio, providing consistent conditioning performance during excavation.
-
4
Anti-Adhesion Performance & Faster Advance
Surfactant action prevents adhesion of excavated soil on the shield face and chamber surfaces, reducing excavation resistance and supporting faster TBM advance.
