High-quality liquid sodium silicate (commonly referred to as water glass) is supplied for use in various civil engineering works, including backfill grouting in tunneling projects. Sodium silicate is one of the most widely used water-soluble silicate compounds and is commonly known as water glass due to its high solubility in water. Depending on the molar ratio of SiO₂ to Na₂O and its concentration, it can be used in various grouting applications, including accelerators and ground improvement materials.
