Dispersant
MAK DP
During shield tunneling in cohesive soils such as clay or silt, excavated material may adhere to the cutterhead or cause clogging inside the chamber and screw conveyor, leading to poor muck discharge and reduced tunneling speed. MAK DP is a slurry dispersant that works effectively even at low dosage by modifying the electrochemical properties of excavated soil, reducing the viscosity and cohesion between soil particles. When used together with the Wetting & Penetrating Agent MAK SF, the conditioning effect is further enhanced, helping maintain smooth muck discharge and stable tunneling performance.
Dispersion
•Repulsion caused by steric hindrance
•Repulsion caused by electrostatic charge
Wetting
•Air between particles is replaced by liquid as wettability improves
Product Features
