Soil Dispersant
MAK DP
In cohesive soils such as clay and silt, excavated material can adhere to the cutterhead and cause clogging within the chamber and screw conveyor, resulting in poor muck discharge and, in severe cases, significant reduction or stoppage of TBM advance. MAK DP is a soil dispersant that works effectively even at low dosage by modifying the electrochemical properties of excavated soil, breaking down cohesion between particles and reducing stickiness. When used in combination with MAK SF, the conditioning performance is further enhanced, ensuring smoother muck discharge and more stable tunneling operation.
Product Features
-
1
For Slurry Shield Method
• Prevents adhesion of excavated soil • Reduces slurry viscosity and improves flowability • Enables smooth slurry discharge
-
2
For EPB Shield Method
• Prevents adhesion of excavated soil • Facilitates smooth muck discharge (acts as a fluidizing agent during pumping) • Mitigates slurry thickening caused by contamination (cement or seawater intrusion)
