MAK STOPPER is a loss prevention additive developed to control slurry loss (mud loss) at the tunnel face during excavation in sand, gravel, and weathered soil formations. In such ground conditions, slurry may escape from the excavation face, preventing proper face pressure formation. Traditionally, materials such as sawdust or paper fragments were used to reduce this phenomenon, which often caused inconvenience and inconsistent performance. MAK STOPPER provides a simple and effective solution for preventing slurry loss, enabling stable face pressure control and more reliable tunneling operations while reducing material handling and storage requirements on site.
